Sustainability targets are reshaping how organisations purchase and manage their technology. As CSRD requirements push businesses toward measurable, transparent environmental action, more leaders are re-evaluating the impact of their IT procurement decisions.
Philippe Vediaud Publicité, a leading independent French advertising company with more than 100 employees, is one of them. Faced with an ageing IT fleet and new CSRD goals, the organisation set out to find a smarter, lower-impact way to refresh its devices without compromising performance or reliability.
What began as a single trial order became a long-term partnership with Circular IT group, built on trust, transparency and consistently high-quality refurbished IT. This is how Philippe Vediaud Publicité aligned day-to-day IT operations with its CSRD strategy, and why refurbished networking and end-user devices turned out to be the simplest, most impactful step forward.

Founded in France, Philippe Vediaud Publicite operates as an independent leader in the French advertising sector, supporting a national teams of more than 100 people. As the business evolved, leadership sharpened its CSRD policy, putting sustainable IT procurement at the forefront.
Philippe Vediaud Publicite’s device landscape had grown to age over time. With a new CSRD policy in place, the company wanted to procure refurbished IT without compromising reliability. While operations hadn’t suffered, leadership was clear: the next phase of growth should be built on responsible, circular IT rather than default new‑buy replacement.
Philippe Vediaud Publicite began with a single order and was impressed by service quality, effective testing, and straightforward commercial support. They valued transparency. Therefore, they simply never stopped ordering.
On occasions where pricing or terms weren’t right, their account manager, Alexis, advised against proceeding. That level of trust cemented the partnership.

Circular IT group supplied a repeatable, quality‑assured stream of refurbished networking equipment, laptops and mobile phones. All the core building blocks for Philippe Vediaud Publicite’s network and users. Each batch focused on tested equipment that fits the budget, performance needs, and sustainability goals.
Refurbished IT delivers measurable environmental gains. Independent life‑cycle studies show that choosing refurbished equipment avoids a large share of the impact associated with manufacturing new devices.
For example, ADEME‑commissioned analyses report significant reductions for smartphones and laptops when devices are reused, and their life is extended.
While Philippe Vediaud Publicite has not published its own figures, its move to refurbished IT aligns with these proven impact pathways and complements its broader CSRD programme, including recycling more than 90% of poster and panel production and transitioning the fleet to biofuels and electric power.
Together, these actions help reduce Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions across the value chain.
Before: Planning to replace ageing equipment while meeting CSRD expectations, yet keen to avoid disruption.
After: A steady, trusted supply of refurbished routers, switches, laptops and mobiles; clear testing standards; and honest guidance on when to buy, and when not to.
