• What does Circular IT group do in the UK?

  Circular IT group handles IT asset disposition for UK organisations from our facility at East Kilbride, near Glasgow, with a second UK site opening in Birmingham. That covers secure collection, certified data erasure, physical data destruction, data centre decommissioning, recycling and buy-back of equipment that still holds value. We carry out mobile shredding across the UK and Europe, and work with trusted partners to destroy on-site worldwide.

  We also sell new and refurbished hardware: laptops, computers, servers, switches, routers and storage. We supply UK organisations and customers worldwide. We rent network infrastructure and we refurbish hardware and infrastructure in the UK for IT donation, which works well for local councils and larger organisations running their own charitable foundations.

• How do I know my data has actually been destroyed?

  You know your data has been destroyed because you get documentation for every asset we process, including data erasure certificates, destruction certificates and asset-level reports listing each item by serial number alongside a summary by asset type. Erasure is carried out to the NIST 800-88 standard, and we are a Blancco Gold ITAD Partner. Where a drive cannot be wiped, including solid state drives that hold data differently to spinning disks, it is physically destroyed instead.

• Can you destroy data at our premises?

  Yes, we can destroy data at your premises. On-site destruction means your drives never leave the building intact, which suits organisations whose policy or regulator requires it. We bring mobile shredding equipment to you, destroy the media in front of your team and take the remains away for recycling. Mobile shredding is available across the UK and Europe. For sites further afield, we work with trusted partners to destroy data on site worldwide.

• Is there a minimum collection size?

  We provide B2B collection services for registered businesses, scaling effortlessly from single-site cleanouts to multi-location projects.

• How quickly can you collect?

  How quickly we can collect depends on the volume, location, whether data needs to be destroyed on site, whether hardware is commercially committed, and whether any infrastructure is still live. Every project is different, so we do not quote a standard lead time. We handle single-site UK collections as well as large-scale multi-site and multi-country projects. Send us the scope and your deadline, and we will confirm what is achievable.

• What happens to equipment after you collect it?

  After we collect your equipment, every item is assessed individually. Anything that can be reused is wiped, refurbished and resold, with the proceeds returned to you through IT asset recovery. Equipment suitable for donation can go to charitable causes. Whatever cannot be reused goes for IT recycling through our certified facilities, so that materials are recovered rather than sent to landfill.

• Which certifications apply to your UK operations?

  Our UK company under the Circular IT group holds ADISA ITAD Essentials Silver, CAS-S and Cyber Essentials certification, an ICO certificate, and AATF and Waste Carrier registration with SEPA. It also holds ISO 27001 for information security, ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 9001 for quality. • Do you only operate in the UK?

  No, Circular IT group operates across Europe and worldwide. Our UK work is delivered from East Kilbride near Glasgow, with a second site opening in Birmingham. Facilities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark handle the same collection, data destruction and recycling work locally for their own markets. Together, our teams work as one to deliver complex multi-site and multi-country projects, within the EU and beyond.
